James "Jimmy" McCahey 48, of Johnston, passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by his loving family on December 29th, 2017. He was the beloved son of Patrica (Myers) McCahey and the Late Thomas McCahey. He is survived by his devoted wife Dawn Rose (Sousa) McCahey and her son Orlando Rose. He was predeceased by one brother Eddie McCahey and is survived by his sisters Mary McCahey Mancini and her spouse Michael and Tricia McCahey. He is also survived by his brother Thomas T.J. McCahey Jr., and his spouse Karen, his brother in law George Sousa lll and his spouse Michelle. Jimmy is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins all by whom he will be sorely missed.
In addition to being a beloved husband, great family man, a great step-dad, brother, son and friend who was always ready to help someone, Jimmy was a fantastic Pizza Chef at Caserta Pizzeria on Spruce St. Prov.,for nearly 30 years. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved animals and will be sorely missed by his dog Allie, his cat Chloe and his beautiful birds. He was an avid baseball enthusiast who loved his Redsox's and Cowboys.
Services for Jimmy, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend, will be held Thursday, January 4th in the Berarducci Funeral Home 26 Grove St Prov., from 8:00 am to 11:30 am with burial in St Ann's Cemetery in Cranston immediately following. The family request that flowers kindly be omitted.
